and we decided to get fcuk shirts
we had 50 buckadoolas wisma vouchers
and dad paid with amex
further 15percent off
so it came up to only 25 buckadoolas per shirt
FCUKING GOOD!
i was reading de papers about kids nowadays having lessons in hols
an incredulous session from 8-3ish
what kinda holiday is that seriously
no wonder kids are losing their childhood
i mean i remember having fun when i was young
i was always with cousins from either side
during de hols i would go to my paternal aunts house to stay
and my elder cousin would bring me out everywhere cos it was so accessible
on weekends i would go swimming with my maternal cousins
i hardly studied
i remember hating chinese and copying answers for assessments in de toilets
i remembered being a naughty and pesky child
but i never remembered doing tonnes of assesments
i never remembered having an entire holiday spent in school
images of me preparing for exams are vague sparse and few
on de eve of psle i was watching my fave serial on teevee
i guess cos my parents never really forced me
i mean there were you are bright but very lazy and you could have done much better if you put in effort
but there was never a time i was restricted to teevee
except when me and sis quarrelled and fought
den my mom would turn it off to shut us up
there was never a time where i had to undergo gruelling hours of tuition
tuition was always fun with all de gifts and scrabble sessions
my childhood was filled with fun and lovely memories
deeply engrained and etched in my head
with that i pity de kids now
yeah they may have de nicest gadgets psp-s and ds-s or de glammest phones
and all i had was tetris gameboy asnd tamagotchi
but i win them hands down in de fact that i have a pleasant childhood
without being bogged down by school
